He said he used the opportunity of the visit to assure President Jonathan of “Ghana’s support, Ghana’s prayer and hope that the forthcoming elections in Nigeria will be fair transparent and free.” President Mills added: “And will send out positive signals to the rest of the world that our brother, Nigeria, is following the path which have been blazed by other countries. “We support them and want to do whatever it takes to ensure that the people of Nigeria are given the opportunity to choose their leader.” The Ghanaian leader, who had earlier held bilateral talks with President Jonathan, assured of his country’s readiness to work closely with Nigeria with which he observed Ghana shared a lot in common. |
